Buckingham Palace facts

1.Buckingham Palace sits in the very heart of London, surrounded by the lavish St. James and Green Park.

2. In 1761, King George III bought the property as a private residence for Queen Charlotte, earning it the title The Queen’s House.

3.In the 19th century, the residence underwent renovations, adding three additional wings that surround a central courtyard.

4.Buckingham Palace features 775 rooms. Of these rooms, 188 are staff bedrooms, 92 offices, 78 bathrooms, 52 royal and guest bedrooms, and 19 state rooms.

My play date with Krisha

My play date with Krisha

In the holidays I had a play date with Krisha.(My BFF).

First her brother walked her up to my new house. Then Krisha gave me a delicious M and M chocolate block.

After that I gave her a tour of my house. Some time later me and Krisha got our hair braided and put beads at the bottom.(Our hair kept getting stuck in the electronic braider, it was painful).

Then we played with some very soft slime and after that I showed her some of my drawings. By the time I showed her half of my drawings her brother had come to pick her up.

I had a great and enjoyable time. I hope she did to?

British Castles

Castles have been around for hundreds of years. A castle is where the royal family lives.

Arrow slits  

The arrow slits are used because if the enemy wants to shoot the knight it would be more challenging for them and it would be more easier for the knights to be hidden. The slits are really slim.

Keep

A keep is handy when the castle is under attack. Mostly only the royal family goes into the keep. Other people have to sacrifice their lives.

Drawbridge

The drawbridge is lowered over the moat. If there is a war then some people will pull the chain and the drawbridge will close,then the opposition team won’t be able to get in.

Spiral staircase

A spiral staircase is found in a tower. It is a spiral because the tower is like a cylinder and the staircase can’t go straight it will have to go in a spiral
