The Waka

Waka
“Ka mate Ka mate” is bellowed tremendously loudly from the rowing warriors. The warriors strong arms row as the wavy water splashes onto the waka.  The tough Maori men’s tattoos are a blur of  of black ink as they keep on rowing.

The red paint on the bottom of the waka is like the spilled blood of a warrior.  One of the ferocious men beside me shout “Tahi rua toru wha” we need to keep on rowing our waka to get to the island for our battle against our enemies.

  1. I really like how at the start of the sentence you used "ka mate ka mate" but i think you should make your words smaller cause i thought they were a bit big
